Launched in 2015, Survivor Wines are as distinctly South African as the Nguni cattle that inspired them. Just as each Nguni hide carries a unique pattern, our wines reflect the diversity of cultivars grown on carefully selected terroirs across the Cape. For over 2000 years, Nguni cattle have been part of South Africa's heritage - brought here through great migrations, symbolising wealth, resilience and cultural pride. Their history is etched into our soil, just as our wines are rooted in it today.
Survivor Terrior Syrah
This Syrah boasts a captivating deep red hue and an enticing bouquet of cracked black peppercorns, coriander, plums, and bramble berries, accented by subtle notes of liquorice and oak spice. On the palate, it reveals a full-bodied character, enveloping the senses with a velvety texture that persists elegantly. The finish leaves a memorable impression of fynbos and freshly squeezed pomegranate.
Survivor Terrior Pinotage
The nose is rich with vibrant red fruit notes of ripe raspberry, juicy plum, and wild strawberry, elegantly intertwined with hints of aniseed and cinnamon. On the palate, this full-bodied wine unveils a luxurious, velvety texture, coating the mouth with layers of dark cherry, mulberry, and a whisper of vanilla spice. A finely balanced acidity and supple tannins enhance its structure, leading to a long, silky finish where bright red berry flavors linger with a touch of cocoa and warm spice.
Survivor Reunion
The final blend consists of 45% Pinot Noir, 35% Pinotage, and 20% Cinsault.
The wine displays remarkable complexity, with a vibrant, bright red hue that hints at the enticing experience to come. On the nose, you'll find captivating aromas of cherries, strawberries, and a subtle hint of flint, which seamlessly carry through to a well-structured palate with impressive length. The Pinot Noir contributes spice and elegance, the Pinotage imparts body and rich fruit, while the Cinsault brings everything together with a harmonious finish.
