Old Vine Chenin Blanc is made from mature Chenin Blanc grapevines, typically 35 years or older. These older vines produce lower yields, but the grapes are more concentrated, resulting in wines with greater depth, complexity, and texture.
The wines often show intense fruit, layered flavors, natural balance, and excellent ageing potential, reflecting both the vine age and terroir. In South Africa especially, Old Vine Chenin Blanc is highly prized for its richness, finesse, and character.
