Distillique Potassium Carbonate 1kg

To reduce acidity of mashes, especially fruit mashes that tend to drop ph dramatically during the first few days of fermentation. Potassium carbonate is used by distillers to buffer the mash against pH changes and to prevent it from going too low.

The ideal pH for mashes being prepared for distilling is between 4.0 - 4.5. Higher pH, lower congeners (within limits)
