Single Estate Cognac, Appelation Cognac Petite Champagne Controlee, Product of France, aged for minimum of 3 years. Golden colour. A woody and fruity notes raised by spices marks the initial nose. Then pronounced almond, apricot and vanilla cake notes, complete the whole experience. The attack is very soft and gentle with beautiful roundness, and then it evolves into ripe fruit and wood flavour. The finish is soft and delicate. To enjoy Reviseur Cognac neat, a 'taster's glass' is suggested, as its long and narrow shape helps capture the richness of the cognac and less the alcohol. When adding a drop of water, the taster's glass is also recommended. Cognac on ice is served in a large tumbler glass, with room for two ice cubes. Cognac Réviseur embodies the attributes that have made the Petite Champagne cru that it comes from famous: intensity, full body and aromatic richness. The Réviseur estate spreads over more than 90 hectares in the heart of Petite Champagne. The east-west position of its vineyards is particularly favourable for producing very aromatic wines. The distillation in very small stills (1600 litres) and its ageing in dry cellars gives powerful Cognacs that reflect the true potential of this terroir recognised for its concentration of aromas. Reviseur Cognac is a tribute to the founder of the Estate, a wise man who revised the records and cognac blends.
