Artemisia Annua, also known as uMhlonyane, is a common species of wormwood, well known and used in traditional herbal medicine practices around the world and widely used in African traditional medicine. Artemisia Annua has a wide variety of different and well-known therapeutic applications - exhibiting anti-inflammatory, antitumor, antioxidant, antispasmodic, antimicrobial, insecticidal, antimalarial, antifungal, and antioxidant activities.
It has many traditional and modern day uses including:
