Marble just cut, the energy of the hewn stone rising like chalk. Dusted and white. Deeper tones unspool, yellow orchard apples, the scent of sap, twigs and white blossoms. On the palate layers of stone fruit are revealed, juicy and fleshy peaches, fat from a Breedekloof summer. This ebullience evolves into the satiny texture of creamed pear, edged in lime drops, tangy and fruit-sweet. The acidity skates through orangetoned and vibrant to a spiced finish of quince paste and lime.
