Glenfarclas 40 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky - Warehouse Edition
Distilled twice in traditional direct fired copper pot stills, the largest in Speyside, this whisky is made to age. Matured on-site in traditional dunnage warehouses using only the finest European oak casks selected from a particular family run Bodega in Spain previously used for the maturation of fine Oloroso sherry.
This 40 year old single malt is a truly amazing whisky, so fresh and vibrant for an old whisky offering generous helpings of Sherried notes, fruit cake, dark chocolate and orange.
Bottled at 43%, and presented in a bespoke box reminiscent of the distillery's iconic warehouse doors.
Non-Chill Filtered. Natural Colour.
Tasting Notes:
- Colour: Autumn gold.
- Nose: Rich and complex. Dark chocolate covered raisins, freshly ground Java coffee beans, molasses, with sweet aromas of Turkish delight.
- Palate: Rich with initial sweet taste, dark chocolate, candied orange, raisins and sultanas. Followed by peppered notes of butterscotch and burnt brown sugar.
- Finish: Long, sweet, lingering richness.
