The 178-acre property holds a prime position in the "Golden Triangle" of Stellenbosch, framed by panoramic views of Cape Town and Table Mountain to the west, Stellenbosch and the Helderberg Mountains to the east.
The vines benefit from the high-potential Tukulu and Oakleaf soils and are planted north facing in order to absorb maximum sunlight creating ideal growing conditions to produce the fuller and fruitier wines of Ernie Els fame.

- The dark, ripe and poised fruit is fleshed out with sandalwood, musk, perfume, violets and a faint savoury edge.
- Secondary aromas of leather, tobacco, cigar, pipe tobacco and charcoal counter the dense cherry-cola fruit purity.
- Serious and layered with elements of fynbos to add lift to a firm palate that is salty lined with melding fruit tannins evolving with a long and delicious finish.
