On the nose this wine offers opulent tropical fruit aromas of gooseberries, guava and white pear. Intriguing aromas of passion fruit and perfume develops in the glass. The palate is well balanced, with delicious tropical fruit flavours, complimented by juicy yellow fruit, and a fresh, zesty core. A refreshing wine, to be enjoyed on warm summer days spent with family and friends.
The grapes for this wine come from three cooler-climate coastal vineyard sites specially chosen for their ability to produce world-class Sauvignon Blanc. Grapes were hand-harvested into small lug boxes and transported with a refrigerated truck to Eagles' Nest in Constantia. All components were whole bunch pressed and fermented separately. After fermentation, the components were blended together and kept in tank on the fermentation lees for another 9 months to gain further complexity, and for the components to harmonise, before bottling.
