When the Chief of Thavhakhulu, Mulatshawe, finds himself torn between serving his people as their ruler and his intense love for his mistreated queen Rialivhuwa, he makes a heart-wrenching choice to abandon his throne.
Not wanting the burden of the collapsing kingdom to be shifted to a loner teenage successor to the throne, Joseph makes it his duty to persuade Mulatshawe to withdraw his decision to abdicate the throne. He goes on this mission alongside his high school friend who had always captured his heart and has the power to turn him into a man he thought he could ever be.
Joseph aims to bring peace in the land of Thavhakhulu and the valleys below it but the truth he discovers along his journey makes his mission impossible as it threatens to tear the royal family apart.
