The Yakovlev Yak-9 is a single-engine, single-seat multipurpose fighter aircraft used by the Soviet Union and its allies during World War II and the early Cold War. The version YAK 9T's most distinguishable difference is the heavy NS-37 cannon. The large caliber allowed destruction of both ground targets and to take down enemy planes with a single hit. The 9T held 30shells of 37mm caliber and 200 rounds for the 12.7mm machine gun. The serial production of the 9T started in March 1943 and ended in 1945, with a total of 2748 planes built. It was widely used in post - WWII times.

An unassembled plastic kit requiring paint and glue to complete (not included) made up of 229 plastic parts, a decal sheet and an instruction manual.
