The store may not replace it, and the customer must please contact the call centre on 0800 991 550 (Toll-free number) for support. It is open Monday to Friday from 10h00 to 18h00. The customer will then log the problem and receive a ref number. An email is then sent to Powercare from Microsoft within 24/48 hours.
Powercare will then arrange collection of the unit and replacement -as long as the console/accessory has not been tampered with in any way.
When returning the console to Powercare, please ensure that the customer does NOT send back the Hard Drive, Controller or any power cords or other detachable items on the console, ONLY the console must be returned or the faulty item.
