Whimsical and rather pretty in design, this brooch has been crafted out of solid sterling silver. It features a girl's face, set into an openwork frame. The hair detail is set with inlaid enamel of sea greens and blues. The top of the frame has been set with inlaid enamel of golden yellow and warm orange hue. The enamel is semi-opaque, allowing the light to come through, as can be seen in the photographs. The jeweller has suspended a 7 mm natural pearl from the bottom of the frame. The closing mechanism is a stick pin, that clips into a secure latch lock. The brooch measures 4,5 cm in length (45 mm) and is 2,5 cm (25 mm) across. It weighs 5,6 grams and is hallmarked 925 for sterling silver.
