Product Overview
The Stagg 5A Maple Drum Sticks are a classic choice for drummers who prefer a lighter, more agile feel without sacrificing the traditional 5A diameter. While hickory is known for density, Maple is prized for its lightweight properties and high energy, allowing for faster play and increased finesse around the kit.
These sticks are perfect for lower-volume situations, jazz, or orchestral work where subtle ghost notes and a delicate touch are required. The teardrop wooden tip provides a warm, woody tone on drum heads and a bright, defined "ping" on cymbals, making them a versatile addition to any stick bag.
Key Features
- Lightweight Maple Construction: Offers a faster response and easier handling than heavier woods, reducing wrist fatigue during long practice sessions.
- Classic 5A Profile: The most popular stick size in the world, providing a comfortable grip that feels familiar to players of all levels.
- Teardrop Wooden Tip: Specifically shaped to produce a rich, warm sound on drums and excellent clarity on ride cymbals.
- Balanced Weight & Pitch: Every pair is selected to ensure consistent weight and pitch between sticks for a uniform playing experience.
- Natural Finish: Provides a smooth, comfortable grip that allows the wood to breathe and reduces slipping.
Ideal Applications
- Jazz & Acoustic Gigs: Ideal for genres that require a lighter touch and dynamic control.
- Orchestral & Concert Band: Excellent for percussionists needing precision at lower volumes.
