For example, its 16000-lumen output can illuminate a path up to 554 meters, ensuring exceptional visibility with its wide beam profile. With built-in USB-C charging, a side e-switch interface, and a durable build, it offers practical functionality. Featuring a 1-year warranty, this Sofirn Q8 Plus for Outdoor Use suits outdoor enthusiasts, professionals, and survivalists.
Powerful Illumination for Outdoor Use
The Sofirn Q8 Plus features six Cree XHP50B LEDs with a 6500K or 5000K color temperature option, delivering a maximum output of 16000 lumens with a beam throw of 554 meters, powered by three included 21700 Li-ion batteries (each approximately 4000mAh). It offers multiple modes, controlled by a side e-switch with Anduril 2.0 UI, with the following lumen outputs and runtimes:
Turbo: 16000 lumens for approximately 2.6 hours (subject to ATR step-down)
High: 1800 lumens for approximately 10 hours
Medium: 200 lumens for approximately 27.75 hours
Low: 5 lumens for approximately 40 days
Stepless Ramping: Adjustable from 5 to 16000 lumens (runtime varies)
Strobe: 16000 lumens (runtime not specified)
SOS: 16000 lumens (runtime not specified)
Beacon: 16000 lumens (runtime not specified)
The flashlight charges via a built-in USB-C port with a press-in silicone cover, taking about 5-6 hours with a 5V charger, and includes a multi-color indicator (flashing blue during charging, steady blue when full, orange for discharge, flashing orange when low). It has an IPX8 waterproof rating, suitable for submersion up to 2 meters, and features a buck driver with thermal regulation, though prolonged use on Turbo may generate significant heat, requiring careful handling. It can also function as a power bank to charge other devices.
Durable and Compact Design
The Sofirn Q8 Plus is constructed from aluminum alloy with a matte black anodized finish, offering durability and corrosion resistance for rugged outdoor conditions like camping or searching. It measures 133mm in length, 63mm in head diameter, and 54mm in tube body diameter, weighing 492g without batteries (approximately 672g with the three included 21700 batteries), making it suitable for tripod or gear carry. The flashlight features a side e-switch, a 1/4-inch tripod mount, and a textured body, though its size and weight may limit pocket portability.
Designed for Outdoor and Survival Use
The Sofirn Q8 Plus 16000 Lumen 554m Throw Rechargeable Flashlight with 3x 21700 Battery for Outdoor Use is tailored for outdoor enthusiasts, professionals, and survivalists needing a reliable light for adventures, emergencies, or survival tasks. For example, its 554m throw is perfect for illuminating large areas or distant objects, while the 40-day low mode ensures extended runtime for prolonged use, though the side e-switch UI with Anduril 2.0 requires practice to cycle through modes (click for on/off, hold for ramping, double-click for strobe), and the multi-color indicator may confuse new users due to its blinking patterns. The robust construction and IPX8 rating enhance its reliability, but users should avoid direct eye exposure due to its intensity and rinse it with fresh water after use to maintain performance. The Q8 Plus's affordable price, included 21700 batteries, and power bank feature make it a practical choice for outdoor scenarios, offering a balance of power and convenience, though users should plan for heat management and charging logistics.

Note: Ensure the flashlight is turned off or locked (fast four clicks to activate lockout mode) after use to prevent accidental activation, which could drain the batteries; the side e-switch can be sensitive. Use the included 21700 batteries with proper polarity (positive terminal toward the head), and remove the insulating discs before first use or charging. The IPX8 rating supports submersion up to 2 meters but is not suitable for diving; avoid prolonged submersion. Handle with care during Turbo mode to avoid burns due to heat buildup, and do not shine the light directly into eyes due to its intensity. Store in a dry place to maintain reliability, and use a 5V charger (not included) for optimal charging. The tripod mount enhances hands-free use but may require additional accessories for stability.
