Buchu betulina is an astonishing fynbos plant found only within the Cape Floral Kingdom. Endemic to a small mountainous region,
Buchu has evolved a sophisticated system of defence and allure by producing a complex essential oil within its leaves and flowers.
Prized for thousands of years by the indigenous peoples and shared with the world for use in herbal remedies, local crafted natural soaps and cosmetics, artisanal perfumery and even gin distillation.
