SafriPharma MaxiRenal is a nutritional supplement formulated to aid and assist renal health. All ingredients work synergistically to help bind excess phosphates and assist overall kidney function.
Features:
1. L-arganine - An amino acid that increases renal plasma flow (RPF), and glomerular filtration rate (GFR). L-arginine protects renal tissue.
2. Rehmannia glutinosa extract - Can prevent and retard long-term kidney disease (also known as chronic kidney disease or CKD). Rehmannia glutinosa taken orally decreases the amount of protein in the urine.
3. Astragalus root - When Astragalus extractum is used in preserving kidney with hypothermia perfusion,it shows definite protective effect on the ischemic reperfusion injured kidney.
4. Chitosan - Good uremia control, excess phosphates, acidbase balance, inflammation, & oxidative stress for pets with CKD. A potent anti-inflammatory & antimetabolic. Limits phosphate absorption & supports healthy renal function.
5. Potassium citrate - In animals with chronic kidney disease, it can be used to increase blood potassium levels and decrease buildup of acids in the urine and blood, increasing pH.
6. Cordyceps cicadae - C. cicadae may inhibit renal fibrosis in vivo through the TGF-ß1/CTGF pathway combating renal fibrosis. Controls levels of creatinine and the blood levels of urinal protein.
7. Milk thistle - Supports the liver decreasing aminotransferasex activity. Reduces high blood liver enzymes and can treat liver disease. Inhibits cell-damaging enzymes and provides antioxidant & anti-inflammatory effects.
8. Co-enzyme Q10 - CoQ10 has been proven to lower creatinine and BUN levels and decreases urine sodium excretion. Strong anti-inflammatory.
9. Omega 3 fatty acids - Omega-3 fatty acids have
been shown to help slow the progression of chronic kidney disease in dogs by reducing the production of inflammatory compounds that create oxidative stress to the kidneys.
Feeding Guidelines:
First 10 days - 1g/2kg of bodyweight. 2x a day
After 10 days - 1g/2kg of bodyweight. 1x a day
Directions for use:
Sprinkle over wet or dry food. Can be mixed 2/3 MaxiRenal, 1/3 water and dosed with a syringe orally.
