Red sage, or danshen, is an herbal medicine made from the roots,leaves,blooms or stem of the red sage plant. It has a long history of use in traditional Chinese medicine.
It is used in the treatment of conditions such as diabetes, gout, kidney and bladder dysfunction,hepatitis,heart ailments(improving blood circulation,lowering cholesterol).It reduces inflammation whilst also easing menopause symptoms (hot flashes),digestive health and oral hygiene.
Consume by steeping a table spoon full of the herb in boiling water and enjoy as a tea.
