Technical Information
Waterproofing of the Component
The waterproofing of fabric is measured in Schmerbers (H20 mm), indicating the pressure it can withstand.
These overtrousers feature a waterproof coating (JIS 1092 standard) that resists up to 5,000 mm H20 before washing, equivalent to the pressure of a 5-metre water column.
Overall Waterproofing
The waterproof properties also depend on the assembly technique.
Sewn watertight, these overtrousers are tested using Decathlon's shower test, simulating varying rain intensities.
Protects against a small shower equivalent to 6 cm of rain in 1 hour.
Performance in the Rain
To maintain durability, reactivate water repellency every three washes or after around 12 uses in the rain.
Reactivation methods:
Tumble dryer (synthetic setting) for 15 minutes.
Hairdryer at a 20 cm distance, moving back and forth twice.
Iron on delicate setting (no steam), passing over twice.
Fabric Breathability
Breathable fabric with RET = 12, measuring thermal evaporative resistance.
Breathability levels:
RET 6: Very breathable.
RET 12: Breathable.
RET 20: Low breathability.
Choosing Based on Activity Level
Suitable for hikes lasting several hours at a pace of no more than 5 km/h.
For more intense activities, consider higher breathability to avoid perspiration condensation inside the trousers.

Tips for Storage and Maintenance
Washing: Maximum temperature 30 C, normal treatment.
Drying: Low-temperature tumble dry, max drum exhaust 60 C.

Restrictions
Not recommended for intense exercise such as fitness walking or running.
