Black heat transfer vinyl (HTV) is a specialized type of vinyl material used in heat transfer applications, particularly in the creation of custom-designed clothing, apparel, and textiles.
HTV has a heat-activated adhesive on one side that, when exposed to heat, adheres to the fabric. The adhesive bonds permanently, creating a durable and long-lasting design.
To create custom designs, you'll need to cut the black HTV using a vinyl cutter or craft cutting machine. After cutting, you'll need to weed (remove) the excess vinyl material to reveal the desired design.
Once you have your design cut and weeded, you'll use a heat press or iron to apply the HTV to your fabric. The heat and pressure activate the adhesive, allowing it to adhere to the fabric
our Black HTV, require a warm peel after heat pressing. This means you should not let the material cool down before removing the carrier sheet
In addition to a heat press or iron, you may need tools like a weeding tool and a Teflon sheet to help with the heat transfer process.
