Scissors are sleek, sturdy and lightweight. They are professional scissors! Fewer components.

The 103 model is the best-selling version, ideal for medium-sized hands! Length 20.2 cm, weight 228 g, blade length 55 mm.

They are 2 cm longer than the smaller Model 101 and 1 cm shorter than Model 104!

All three models can cut branches up to 25 mm in diameter!

Tension springs can be ordered separately as spare parts.

In Japanese culture, the traditional colours red and white symbolise happiness.

Materials:

Forged from steel with a Rockwell hardness of 60.0-61.0, utilising the finest Izumo Yasuki steel traditionally used for samurai swords. Izumo Yasuki steel is characterised by its high carbon content, forged by Japan's most skilled blacksmiths using ancient techniques. This craft is practised exclusively in the Izumo region, employing only Izumo iron sand. A soft metal core within the steel maintains flexibility, ensuring the cutting edge remains perfectly aligned with the back of the blade even after frequent use. This exceptional and distinctive quality is recognisable by the scissors' characteristic "singing" sound. Among professionals, these scissors are renowned for their unique cutting tone.

Usage: We recommend cleaning the blades after each use. After cleaning, it is advisable to oil the shears and keep the blades closed to prevent moisture ingress. Should you find the shears cutting less effectively after prolonged use, they can be sharpened using a dedicated whetstone. Although crafted from the finest steel, improper care may lead to rust over time!

Treat your shears with care, and they will serve you for a lifetime!

Made in Japan! A Japanese family tradition since 1925.
