A Proudly South African Chew. For a Proudly South African Dog.
Every South African knows a koeksister. That beautifully plaited, twisted treat that takes skill, patience, and love to make - and disappears far too quickly. Now imagine that iconic shape, recreated in natural pork rind, built for your dog, and lasting considerably longer than the human version ever does.
Meet Pets Elite Natural Hide Koeksister Bulk Pack - real pork rind, carefully pleated into that unmistakable koeksister shape, approximately 25cm long. Sold in a bulk pack of 4 koeksisters with an average pack weight of approximately 300g - sold by unit, not by weight, so natural variation applies. Completely free from bleach, harsh chemicals, and industrial treatment. Just clean, honest pork rind, prepared the Pets Elite way. A long, engaging, genuinely satisfying chew that gives your dog something truly worthwhile to work on - and gives you something genuinely worth feeling good about. This is the Pets Elite Ancestral Lifestyle in its most honest, BARF (Biologically Appropriate Raw Food) aligned form - real food, honestly prepared, doing exactly what a great natural chew should.

What Goes Into Every Chew - And What Doesn't
Real pork rind - the genuine outer skin of the pig, a true food product that was always meant to be eaten. Naturally rich in collagen, protein, and the structural nutrients a dog's body recognises and uses. Prepared the Pets Elite way: cleanly, gently, and honestly - shaped with no glue, no shellac, and no shortcuts.
No bleach. No formaldehyde. No hydrogen peroxide. No harsh chemical treatments. No artificial flavourants. No artificial colourants. No preservatives. Just real pork skin, prepared with care. What you read on the label is genuinely all there is.
A note on aroma: This product has a strong natural aroma - completely normal for a real, honestly prepared product. Your dog will find it absolutely irresistible.
25cm of Pure Chewing Satisfaction
At approximately 25cm long, each Koeksister is built for an extended, genuinely engaging chewing session. The pleated, multi-layered shape creates a complex chewing structure that gives dogs more to work on than a flat or simple chew - more surface area, more texture variation, more sustained engagement.
Each fold and pleat creates a slightly different chewing challenge - keeping dogs mentally engaged and physically occupied throughout the entire session. This is not a treat that disappears in minutes. This is a proper, long-format chew that delivers serious enrichment time.
Why Pork Rind Is So Good for Dogs
Naturally rich in collagen - the structural protein supporting joint flexibility, connective tissue health, skin elasticity, and a glossy coat. Naturally high in protein. Zero carbohydrates. Real, food-grade nourishment in a form a dog's body recognises and processes readily. No grains. No fillers. No empty nutrition. Pure protein and collagen from a real food source - aligned with the BARF philosophy from first bite to last.
Take It Even Further - Add a Topper
Those pleats and grooves were practically made for a good topper:
Pets Elite Peanut Butter for Dogs - spread a little along the ridges and watch it settle into every fold for the most focused, most satisfied chewing session your dog has had in weeks. Firmly in line with the BARF philosophy.
Pets Elite Mutelo - our rich, spreadable beef tallow treat, inspired by the idea of a wholesome chocolate-spread lookalike made just for dogs. Blended from premium beef tallows including unique, deeply nourishing bone marrow tallow, Mutelo works right into the grooves for a decadent, BARF-aligned upgrade your dog will adore.
