Two of South Africa's Greatest Meat Traditions, in One Chew:
Pets Elite Canneloni takes our real dried sausage and wraps it in beef esophagus, rolled into a firm, satisfying cylinder approximately 110mm long and 20mm wide. Two layers, two proteins, two textures your dog gets to work through in a single chew. It's the Pets Elite Ancestral Lifestyle rolled into one, built on BARF (Biologically Appropriate Raw Food) principles: real ingredients, minimal processing, honest preparation.
Why the Outer Layer Matters:
Beef esophagus naturally contains glucosamine and chondroitin - the same compounds found in premium joint supplements - contributing to mobility, flexibility and comfortable movement, layered right on top of the sausage core's deep, meaty flavour.
Two Textures, One Satisfying Chew:
Rated 2-3/5 Soft to Medium Hard on our Chewyness Scale, the firm outer wrap gives way to the softer sausage core as your dog works through it - a proper, engaging chewing session with genuine variety in every piece.
Our Chewyness Scale: 1 = Very Soft | 2 = Soft | 3 = Medium Hard | 4 = Hard | 5 = Very Hard
A Note on Aroma:
This is a real, honestly prepared product with a strong natural smell - completely normal, and exactly what makes it so appealing to your dog.
Make It Even Better:
Here's a trick every Pets Elite regular knows - smear a little Pets Elite Peanut Butter for Dogs along the roll, or dunk one straight into Mutelo. The soft, flavour-packed topper against the firm outer layer is a genuine favourite. Worth having a jar of either in the cupboard.
Key Benefits:
- Two-Layer Chew: Real dried sausage wrapped in beef esophagus - flavour and texture in every bite
- Naturally Rich in Glucosamine & Chondroitin: The esophagus layer contributes to everyday joint support
- Genuine Variety: A firm outer texture giving way to a softer core
- Dental Support Built In: Helps maintain healthy teeth and gums through natural chewing action
- Honestly Prepared: No grains, sugars, salts, colourants or artificial additives
- Great for Regular Use: Pack of 5, a solid everyday supply
Ingredients:
Beef (Esophagus), Pork & Beef (Dried Sausage), Vinegar (used in preparation for natural shelf stability).
Freshness Note:
This is a real meat product with no artificial preservatives, so once opened, always reseal the packet tightly between feeds. Extended exposure to air will dry the product out and affect freshness, and keeping it sealed also stops insects from getting to it - resealing after every use is the simplest way to keep it fresh and safe.
A Note on Natural Variation:
Each piece measures approximately 110mm long and 20mm wide. Size, shape and colour will vary slightly piece to piece - the honest reality of a real, naturally prepared product. Quality never varies, character does.
Suitable For:
Dogs of all breeds and sizes | Dogs needing joint support | Dental health and everyday chewing enrichment | Raw feeders and BARF (Biologically Appropriate Raw Food) diet enthusiasts
Not Recommended For:
Dogs that gulp treats whole without chewing
Feeding Tip:
Always supervise chewing and keep fresh water available. Remove any piece small enough to swallow whole. Wash hands after handling. Treats should stay under 10% of daily calorie intake.
What's in the Box:
5 × Pets Elite Canneloni, approximately 110mm × 20mm each. Sold by unit, natural variation applies.
About Pets Elite:
Founded in Cape Town in 2005, Pets Elite is one of the pioneers of natural dog treats and raw nutrition in South Africa. Our entire range is built around the Pets Elite Ancestral Lifestyle philosophy and the principles of the BARF (Biologically Appropriate Raw Food) diet: real animal protein, whole-animal nutrition, minimal processing and honest, natural preservation.
We avoid grains, sugars, salts, colourants and artificial additives - none of which offer any real benefit to dogs - producing treats designed to support long-term health, vitality and natural feeding instincts. We focus on human-grade meats, natural fats, traditional methods and gentle preservation - delivering food closer to what dogs' wild ancestors evolved to consume.
The result: treats made to support everyday vitality, help maintain a glossy coat and settled digestion, and encourage the natural energy that comes from eating real food.
Every treat we make reflects our promise: quality, integrity and pure pet joy.
Pets Elite Ancestral Lifestyle - real food for real dogs.
