The Peak Design Pro Tripod is a professional carbon fibre tripod designed for photographers and filmmakers who need studio-level strength, stability and precision in a highly packable design. Developed in collaboration with photographer and filmmaker Jimmy Chin, it builds on the award-winning Peak Design Travel Tripod architecture with greater stiffness, higher deploy height and professional shooting capability.

The Peak Design Pro Tripod is built for demanding creative work, offering the strength to support heavy cameras and lenses while remaining compact enough for travel and outdoor production. With carbon fibre legs, CNC-machined hardware and ultra-tight engineering tolerances, it delivers reliable stability for professional photography, filmmaking and hybrid content creation.
Based on Peak Design's original space-saving tripod architecture, the Pro Tripod folds down to a compact 50.1cm length with a 9.3cm diameter, allowing it to fit neatly into camera bags, travel packs or bottle pockets. Despite its compact folded form, it extends to a maximum height of 168.4cm with the centre column raised, or 138cm with the centre column down.
The integrated Arca-compatible ball head is designed for fast, secure camera mounting and precise composition. A single grippy adjustment ring lets you frame and lock your shot in one smooth motion, while the built-in bubble level and tactile lock ring provide clear setup feedback.
For video work, the ball head includes integrated 360 fluid panning for smooth cinematic camera movement without additional gear. When paired with the optional Peak Design Tilt Mod accessory, the Pro Tripod can convert into a fluid pan and tilt video tripod, making it easy to switch between photography and filming workflows in the field or studio.
With an 18.1kg weight capacity and a low-mode minimum height of 15.9cm, the Pro Tripod is suitable for a wide range of professional setups, from landscape photography and studio portraits to commercial content, travel filmmaking and low-angle creative work.

HOW TO USE
Deploy the tripod legs using the aluminium cam locks and adjust the height as needed. Attach your camera using the included Arca-compatible Standard Plate, then secure it with the camera lock system. Use the ball head's single adjustment ring to frame and lock your shot, or use the integrated 360 fluid panning control for smooth video movement. For pan and tilt video use, add the optional Peak Design Tilt Mod accessory.
