After combining Latin beats with the most furious of Sepultura-style metal on two previous albums, New Jersey-based Ill Nino's 2005 release, ONE NATION UNDERGROUND, adds a bit more melody for a heady blend of fire and ice, which balances to exhilarating effect. Tracks like "My Resurrection" are comprised of nothing but pure musical brutality, while on "This is War" and "Turns to Gray", sonorously soaring vocals enter just as the pummeling musical roar hits full power, taking Ill Nino's music to another level.
