You are a beginner surfer
Your daughter is starting to surf in very small waves. She stays where she can touch the bottom and is accompanied. She wants to have fun in the waves, discover new sensations. When learning to surf, she will fall into waves that are not at all powerful. We have designed swimsuits adapted to the discovery of the wave and to the morphology of the little surfer to hold in the small waves.
Morphology:
This BALI 2-piece swimsuit has been designed to allow all little surfers to have fun and discover the waves. Its thin-strapped bra provides good support in the waves. The swimsuit can be easily stored thanks to an integrated pocket, allowing the young surfer to take it everywhere with her.
Girl's swimsuit size:
At Decathlon, we design swimsuits for young surfers taking into account their growth, which is why we systematically associate a height with the size, i.e. the child's size, because age is not enough to guarantee the right size. Indeed, two 10-year-old girls can have completely different sizes, measurements, weights and body shapes. We also recommend trying them on in the cabin if possible.

Dry cutting and wet cutting:
To ensure a perfect fit in the water, we are obliged to adjust our models when dry because once in the water, the swimsuits relax. We therefore advise you to take the right size. The swimsuit must fit snugly on your body in the cabin, you must feel supported. The elastane contained in certain components used in the design of our swimsuits softens and relaxes in the water.
Wave hold test:
We design swimsuits whose promise is to hold up in the waves. To evaluate them, we call upon a panel of at least 12 surfers with different body shapes who will follow a test protocol in a pool, in our design offices in Hendaye. The aim of this protocol is to reproduce the sensations experienced by the surfer when she is tossed around by a wave. If this test is conclusive, we go surfing in the sea, to test our swimsuits in real conditions.
Olaian, decathlon's surf brand:
Based in Hendaye, in the southwest of France, OLAIAN is Decathlon's new surf brand. In our offices "with your feet in the water" we can design a swimsuit in one day, then test it directly in the sea to check its hold in the waves.
What is the Olaian?
Tribord surf products become OLAIAN, the new Decathlon brand dedicated to surfing, bodyboarding skimboarding. Gradually, the markings on all our surf products will be replaced. This is why your product may possibly have a different logo than the one shown on the product illustration image.

Tests:
This product has been tested in use in Hendaye and has undergone several laboratory tests to guarantee its quality in the practice for which it was designed: tests on the elasticity and stability of the fabric, on the color fastness to rubbing, washing, sea water, chlorinated water and exposure to light and on the overall performance of the product after several washes.
Care instructions:
- Do not dry clean.
- Do not iron.
- Maximum washing temperature 30 C. Very gentle treatment.
- Do not tumble dry.
- No bleaching.
