At Nucleus, we skip the waste of mass production by making each of these jockstraps to order in our Cape Town studio. It's a slower way of doing things, but it lets us focus on the small technical details that actually change how a garment feels when you're wearing it.
The French Seam Advantage
The most important part of this design is the front pouch. Most lace underwear has rough, overlocked seams on the inside that can get scratchy. We've used a French seam down the center instead. This technique tucks all those raw fabric edges away, leaving you with a smooth, flat finish inside. No rough threads, no bulky edges, and zero chafing where it matters most.
Breathable & Secure
The floral lace we use is intentionally sheer and lightweight, keeping things airy and cool all day. To make sure everything stays where it should, we've paired that lace with a sturdy, striped elastic waistband. These straps are built to hold their tension and stay put without biting into your skin or digging in.

Care Tip: To keep the lace looking good and the elastic snappy, a cold hand wash or a delicate cycle in a wash bag is best. Air dry only.
