An invigorating blend that brings together the freshness of green Sencha tea with the sunlit flavours of citrus and creamy mesquite. This tea pairs lively notes of lemon and lemongrass with the subtly sweet, velvety touch of mesquite, a rare and fragrant ingredient foraged from the Karoo region of South Africa.
The result is a vibrant yet mellow infusion. Grassy and citrusy at first sip, it unfolds into a smooth, creamy finish that lingers gently on the palate. Each cup reflects the balance between vitality and calm, brightness and depth.
Sencha, the base of this blend, is a cherished green tea, known for its clean taste and gentle presence. When harmonised with these bold but natural flavours, the tea takes on a distinctive South African character - one that carries the warmth of the land and the creativity of thoughtful blending.
Ideal as a midday pick-me-up or a cooling afternoon refreshment. This tea can also be served iced for a crisp and satisfying summer brew.
Serving suggestion:
We recommend brewing green tea with water at around 75 degrees Celsius. Steep the tea for approximately 2 minutes, then taste to see if the strength suits your preference. If you desire a stronger brew, you may steep it for another minute or two. Use a teapot with an infuser for best results. If a teapot is not available, an infuser ball, infuser cup, or a fine mesh strainer will also work well. For each serving, use about 3 to 4 grams of loose leaf tea, or roughly one teaspoon. This tea may be steeped a second time; simply extend the brewing time to draw out the remaining flavour.
