The Eastern Cape Province may have bred an array of musical talent, but 25-year-old Olothando Ndamase is on the verge of ushering in a new generation of soul.

With many a genre having been explored in South Africa, Ndamase has made the music industry his canvas, infusing a variety of genres with shades of soul.

The young singer/songwriter from Ayliff has created a name for himself in his home province, particularly through his 2012 single, Ndofika Nini.

Ndofika Nini was inspired by a combination of frustrations that come hand-in-hand with trying to break into the music industry.
The song's theme has since become a familiar scenario for many of his fans, who can relate to his frustrations where their own personal battles are concerned.
But, staying true to his resilient nature, Ndamase released Mpumelelo Ndibize, which he describes as a prophecy into his life.
Mpumelelo Ndibize provides a much more informed perspective, where experiences are not sceptic bruises, but rather a platform for inevitable success.

His velvety, yet mature, voice is synonymous with Afro Pop - which is his genre of choice - although his sound is malleable and can be bent to the needs of any music lover.

If you haven't caught the Olothando bug yet, prepare to break out into random humming and singing - because he just has that effect.
