This registered design combines the functionality of a spade and that of a shovel in one tool that does both jobs. The flat blade is ideal for mixing cement and digging trenches. The beveled edge penetrates hard ground assisted by a wide foot tread. The raised sides increase the loading capacity of the toolà making it suitable for the efficient moving of aggregates. The spavel is made from heattreated carbon/manganese steel to increase wear resistance and improve durability.
