Protect the clarity and brilliance of your SolarFast creations with Jacquard SolarFast Wash, the essential finishing step for achieving professional-quality sun prints. Specially formulated to remove undeveloped SolarFast dye after exposure, this wash helps prevent unwanted back staining while preserving the crisp white areas and delicate highlights that make photographic and shadow prints so striking. Whether you're creating detailed photograms, photographic negatives, or expressive mixed media artwork, SolarFast Wash ensures your finished prints retain maximum contrast, vibrant colour, and exceptional definition. Easy to use on both fabric and paper, it completes the SolarFast process by revealing the true depth and permanence of every image.
Ideal for artists, photographers, educators, and printmakers, SolarFast Wash is suitable for all projects created with Jacquard SolarFast Dye, including painting, tie dyeing, batik, screen printing, stamping, and traditional sun printing techniques. For textiles, simply machine wash using the recommended amount of SolarFast Wash on the hottest suitable cycle, while paper and delicate materials can be hand washed in warm running water for equally effective results. Compatible with a wide range of natural surfaces including cotton, linen, canvas, silk, hemp, wood, rag paper, and other natural fibres, SolarFast Wash is an indispensable part of the printing process, ensuring every completed artwork remains clean, vibrant, soft to the touch, and beautifully permanent.
