Elevate your everyday carry with this rare, premium Honey Badger Crossbolt Drop Point - a limited-run masterpiece blending South African design innovation with top-tier materials. This is one of just 40 pieces produced, making it a sought-after collectible for discerning knife enthusiasts who demand superior performance without compromise.
Key Features & Specifications:
Blade: Premium Böhler M390 stainless steel (powder metallurgy super steel) with full black PVD coating for enhanced corrosion resistance, reduced glare, and a sleek tactical matte finish. Razor-sharp drop point profile with a convex spine curve sloping to a strong, controllable tip - ideal for slicing, piercing, and versatile EDC tasks. Partial serrations near the base add grip for tough, fibrous materials like rope or webbing. Large circular thumb hole with jimping for smooth, one-handed deployment.
Edge: Plain edge for precision cuts, serrated section for aggressive sawing.
Handle: Durable black textured G10 scales - waterproof, impact-resistant, and aggressively grippy even when wet or gloved. Ergonomic contours, finger choils, and jimping provide secure, fatigue-free hold. Reversible deep-carry pocket clip for ambidextrous tip-up carry (left or right pocket).
Lock & Action: Innovative Crossbolt Axis Lock - hardened steel crossbar delivers rock-solid, reliable lockup with zero blade play. Fully ambidextrous (operable from either side), ultra-smooth low-friction operation, and safer closing (no fingers in blade path). Effortless flick-open and fast deployment in any condition.
Dimensions (approximate, based on Honey Badger Large/Crossbolt platform): Blade length ~3.6" (92 mm), overall open ~8.25" (210 mm), closed ~4.6" (117 mm). Weight ~3.2-3.5 oz (lightweight yet substantial feel thanks to G10).
Build & Origin: Designed and tested in Johannesburg, South Africa - true to the fearless "Honey Badger don't care" ethos. Premium upgrades elevate it beyond standard production models (which use 8Cr13MoV or D2).
Extras: Includes original packaging, Torx tool for adjustments, and backed by Honey Badger's 10-year warranty against defects.
This HB6079 stands out as a step-up limited edition: M390 holds an edge longer than most steels, PVD adds stealth and durability, and G10 handles deliver premium heft and traction. Perfect for EDC, outdoor adventures, tactical use, or as a collector's piece - tough, reliable, and built to outlast the elements in Johannesburg's variable climate or anywhere else.
