The HKD 16-Bit A/D (ADC) Development Board is built around the high-precision ADS1115 analog-to-digital converter, designed for accurate signal measurement in embedded, industrial, and IoT applications. It provides significantly higher resolution compared to standard 10-bit or 12-bit ADCs found in most microcontrollers, making it ideal for precision sensor reading and data acquisition systems.

This module communicates via a standard I2C interface, allowing easy integration with microcontrollers such as Arduino, ESP32, ESP8266, STM32, and Raspberry Pi. It supports both single-ended and differential input modes, enabling flexible measurement configurations for a wide range of analog signals.

The onboard programmable gain amplifier (PGA) allows the input range to be adjusted from small millivolt signals up to full supply voltage levels, ensuring accurate measurement of both weak and strong signals. With a programmable data rate from 8 SPS up to 860 SPS, the module can be optimized for either high-speed or high-precision applications.

The ADS1115 also features a built-in comparator and multiplexer (MUX), allowing it to handle up to four single-ended inputs or two differential channels. Its low power consumption and single-shot mode make it ideal for battery-powered and portable systems.

This ADC module is widely used in industrial automation, sensor interfacing, temperature measurement, battery monitoring, and precision instrumentation systems.
