This handcrafted piece features a black opal, set into a broadband design sterling silver ring. The opal is a 8 x 5 mm oval cabochon. It is a natural black opal that has been jeweller treated. The iridescence is a fascinating display of greens and blues. The solid sterling silver shank is 13 mm all the way round, hand hammered, with a lightly textured feel to it, and finished in dark gun metal gild for a dramatic effect. The jeweller has added gold gild ridged threads around part of the shank and around the bezel setting of the opal. It weighs 8,9 grams and is ring size 8/quarter (Q/half in British and SA sizing).
