As with Grills of Japan's other Konro or Hibachi grills, this smaller and completely unique custom-made ceramic Shichirin, or Hibachi, is ideal for tabletop use, both indoor and outdoor, when you are grilling a smaller item, eating alone/as a couple or simply wanting to add some theatre to your dining or entertaining!
As opposed to Diatomite Konro Grills, this Shichirin is made of the same ceramic material used to make The Big Green Egg and Kamado Jan grills. It is truly built to last and easy to maintain, making this Shichirin a definite favourite for any occasion. The table grill is also very portable and ready to go where your next trip takes you - to even if it's the kitchen counter or dining table.
The ceramic base also ensures that the Shichirin is very easy to clean, due to the glazed finish inside and out. Simply remove the ceramic base once completely cooled from its stainless-steel frame, and wash with warm water and soap. Dry and return it to the frame ready for next time.
Combined with using smoke and odour-free Grills of Japan Binchotan Charcoal (also available from Takealot), this Shichirin will hold its heat for much longer than with regular charcoal. To light, use a traditional Starter Pan/Pot (also available on Takealot) or a Chimney Starter, and once you have finished grilling, simply remove the binchotan and extinguish in water or a stainless steel pan, or using the GoJ smaller custom-designed extinguishing lid (sold separately) for future use.
The Shichirin can be used outdoors using either binchotan or regular charcoal, or indoors using binchotan charcoal and sufficient ventilation.
Comes complete with a Grills of Japan-branded bamboo board to help protect your table as well as a fireproof base for added protection, along with a handy grill mesh tool lifter.

This will in no way affect the functionality of the grill and refunds will not be provided on this basis. Fine hairline cracks in the glaze can also occur during the heating and cooling of the grill. Again these in no way compromise the grill's functionality.
