This USB Type-C cable is used where high power is needed to charge or to used for any other purpose from a charger or transformer. It is usually used with the new standard in PD (power delivery) chargers which communicates with the device that it is charging to safely charge the device at a high speed without over charging or damaging the device. It is thicker than the normal USB charging cables as it handles more current when required to do so. Flexibility is not is not sacrificed with high quality insulating material which also is resistant to knotting up. Please note that both ends of this cable are the same, name a USB type C connector.
