A well-maintained shredder lasts longer, performs better, and ensures smooth, jam-free operation. Like any machine with moving parts, shredders require regular upkeep to prevent wear and tear. By applying oil or Fellowes shredder oil sheets every few uses keeps the cutters lubricated. As a simple rule, you should oil your shredder each time you empty the bin, or at least twice a month. Regular oiling helps prevent buildup, minimizes paper dust accumulation, and ensures consistent performance.
