Convert your compatible Canon ink-jet printer to an edible-ink printer!

Now you are able to print photos, pictures and designs onto edible icing/ frosting sheets and wafer paper to create professional looking cakes and cupcakes.

Edible Ink

  • Replenish your existing Canon cartridges with these edible inks, saving you money and reducing waste.
  • To avoid cross-contamination between standard and edible inks, the ink-sponges within integrated cartridges can be extracted and rinsed prior to refilling. (optional)
  • Once refilled, print two to three A4 sheets using standard paper to prime the system.
  • The on-screen ink levels do not indicate the actual amount of edible ink within the cartridges.

Icing Sheets (Frosting Sheets)

  • Icing sheets (also known as frosting sheets) are the canvas for your edible prints. They consist of a thin layer of icing bonded onto a plastic backing paper. These sheets are designed to pass through your edible printer smoothly.
  • Once printed, you can peel the icing sheet from the backing and apply it to your cake or cupcakes.
  • Icing sheets and wafer paper are sold separately.

Printing Process

  • Load the edible ink cartridges into your Canon printer.
    • Create a design using your preferred image software.
    • Print your design onto the icing sheet (or wafer paper) using your edible printer.
    • Carefully peel the printed icing sheet from the backing and apply it to your cake or cupcakes.
  • To avoid ink depletion during printing, it is recommended to refill the cartridges after every eight to ten A4 prints.

These edible inks are compatible with Canon Ink Jet printers, particularly models that use integrated cartridges which combine the print head with the ink reservoir.

This design ensures that only the cartridge requires replacement once the print heads become worn out.

Canon inkjet printers that use integrated cartridges include the Canon Pixma iP2840, iP2845, MG2440, MG2540, MG2540S, MG2541S, MG2545, MG2545S, MG2940, MG2945, MG3040, MX494, and TS3440.
