Understanding 4G and 5G
Using a 4G SIM:
The router connects to a compatible 4G LTE network and shares that mobile-data connection through WiFi.
Using a 5G-enabled SIM:
Many modern 5G-enabled SIM cards also support 4G LTE. When such a SIM is used in the E160 Plus, the router may connect through the SIM provider's 4G LTE network.
Please Note:
A 5G-enabled SIM does not turn this device into a true 5G NR router. The E160 Plus operates using its supported LTE frequencies.
Before Purchasing
Please ensure:
- Your SIM card is activated.
- Your SIM has an active mobile-data package.
- Your network supports compatible LTE bands.
- There is suitable LTE coverage in your location.
Important
Weak coverage, network congestion or unsupported LTE bands may affect connection quality and speed and do not necessarily indicate a fault with the router.
