Picasso flower stick was created by Juggle Dream to be the best-constructed flower stick ever made, and they did a pretty good job. True to its name, each fibreglass rod is hand painted with bright base colours overlaid with flashes of metallic colour. Both the flower stick and handsticks (supplied) are covered with a super grippy silicone coating and capped with plastic ends.
The weighted suede flowers give this stick just the right amount of drag, creating a very responsive feel. At 41.5cm long (65cm including tassels) it is short enough to allow advanced body moves (arm curls, fishtails, behind-the-back helicopter e.t.c) without making it too fast for beginners. This devil stick brings together many interesting features that make it very pleasant to use. It uses quality materials that are jugglers' favourite: silicone and fibreglass.
Most flower sticks (AKA rhythm sticks, juggling sticks, devil sticks) that you find in South Africa are made with wooden dowels and inner-tube rubber for the grip and tassels. With the application of purpose-designed materials, we can see how physics can be manipulated to create a smooth playing prop.
