Sometime in 1908, Marquis Mills Converse decided to start a rubber sneaker company, bypassing a rubber trust that prevented most companies from doing business directly with their retailers. Daring and innovative, Converse produced a catalogue that stated their core principles: to create their own unique products.
The Converse All Star features a slightly higher rubber foxing, a cushioned footbed that provides long-lasting comfort and a more substantial rubber toe cap. Additional vintage details include stitching on the sidewall and a heavier-grade canvas upper for comfort and durability.
