The process of Confirmation is a very important time, especially in the lives of young people in the church. This is the time when they step forward to undergo education and formation as a person who is ready to make their own decision, based on their personal faith, to follow Jesus and to confirm what was done for them in baptism.
This guide will assist Confirmees who attend Confirmation Classes to consider what they believe, to be shaped in their faith through discussions with a leader and their peers, to deeply contemplate their commitment to Jesus, and also to prepare themselves to take up full membership in the church, and the Methodist Church of South Africa, in particular.
Although this guide was prepared by the Education for Ministry and Mission Unit's Lay Ministries Department for youth Confirmation preparation, it can easily be adapted for use by adult classes as well.
