Cinnamomum verum
Stick to Nature Cinnamon Leaf Essential Oil is not a synthetic, laboratory-designed fragrance made simply to smell pleasant. It is steam-distilled from cinnamon leaves, preserving the oil's naturally rich spicy profile and the qualities for which genuine Cinnamon Leaf Essential Oil is valued.
The Cinnamon Leaf Scent Profile
Cinnamon Leaf is best understood as a warm, stimulating and powerfully purifying essential oil. Unlike Cinnamon Bark Oil, which is mainly associated with cinnamaldehyde, Cinnamon Leaf Oil is typically rich in eugenol. This gives it a warm, spicy, slightly clove-like aroma and supports its valued use in comforting diffuser blends, massage formulations, natural cleaning, odour control and air freshening. Genuine Cinnamon Leaf Oil can vary naturally according to origin and distillation, but recognised profiles commonly contain high levels of eugenol.
HOW TO USE CINNAMON LEAF ESSENTIAL OIL
Warming & Comforting Aroma
Cinnamon Leaf has a rich, familiar aroma that can make a cold, dull or uninviting environment feel warmer and more comforting. Its spicy botanical character is especially suited to autumn and winter diffuser blends, evening room sprays and home-fragrance products.
Use only a small amount and blend it with Sweet Orange, Mandarin, Cedarwood or Frankincense to create a warmer, softer and more welcoming atmosphere.
Energising
The lively spice aroma of Cinnamon Leaf can help awaken an environment that feels tired, heavy or low in energy. It is especially suitable for morning diffuser blends, workspaces and seasonal formulations where a bold, stimulating character is wanted.
Blend it with Lemon or Lime for greater freshness, Rosemary for a more focused atmosphere, or Sweet Orange for a cheerful spiced-citrus aroma.
Anti-inflammatory & Muscle Comfort Support
Cinnamon Leaf Oil's eugenol-rich profile has demonstrated anti-inflammatory and analgesic activity in research, supporting its use in carefully diluted massage blends for areas that feel tired, stiff or overworked.
Use it at a very low dilution in a suitable carrier oil and massage it into the shoulders, back, legs or feet as part of a warming comfort routine. It blends well with Lavender for relaxation, Rosemary for stimulation or Frankincense for a deeper, more grounding massage experience.
Antimicrobial Cleansing Support
Cinnamon Leaf Essential Oil has a naturally strong purifying character. Its high eugenol content has shown antimicrobial activity in laboratory studies, making it valuable in cleansing soaps, foot-care products, shoe sprays and robust household-cleaning blends.
Its aroma is powerful, so a small amount is normally enough to bring warmth, freshness and botanical intensity to a formulation.
Antifungal Cleansing Support
Cinnamon Leaf Oil has also demonstrated antifungal and antibiofilm activity in laboratory research. This makes it particularly useful in formulations intended for damp, stale or odour-prone environments.
Use it in carefully formulated foot washes, shoe fresheners, bathroom cleaners, laundry-area sprays and household products for areas where moisture and unwanted odours tend to collect.
Natural Cleansing & Odour Control
The strong, spicy profile of Cinnamon Leaf makes it useful in household formulations designed to feel deeply fresh and purified. It is especially suitable for bathroom sprays, floor cleaners, bin fresheners, laundry products and multipurpose cleaning blends.
Its aroma helps overpower stale, damp and musty smells while adding a warm botanical finish. Combine it with Tea Tree, Eucalyptus, Lemon or Sweet Orange to balance its intensity.
Air Freshening
Cinnamon Leaf quickly changes the atmosphere of a room, replacing stale or ordinary-smelling air with a rich, warm and inviting spice aroma. It is ideal for living areas, entrances, kitchens and seasonal home-fragrance blends.
Add only a small amount to a diffuser, room spray or home-fragrance formulation. Cinnamon Leaf is highly aromatic and usually works best as an accent oil rather than the dominant ingredient.
TRADITIONAL USE
Cinnamon leaves and their aromatic oil have traditionally been valued in parts of South and Southeast Asia for perfumery, household fragrance, cleansing preparations and warming body applications. Cinnamon itself has a long history in traditional cuisine and folk practice, where its warming aroma has been associated with comfort, vitality and purification.
Warning:
For external and aromatic use only. Do not swallow or apply undiluted to the skin. Cinnamon Leaf is a highly concentrated, eugenol-rich essential oil and may cause skin irritation, burning, sensitivity or an allergic reaction. Always use it at a very low dilution in a suitable carrier oil or finished product and perform a patch test before topical use. Eugenol is recognised as a skin sensitiser and can also irritate the eyes and respiratory tract.
Do not use on broken, damaged, inflamed or highly sensitive skin. Avoid contact with the eyes, inner ears, mouth, nostrils and other sensitive areas. Do not add the undiluted oil directly to bath water.
Use very sparingly when diffusing and ensure the room is well ventilated. Discontinue use and move into fresh air if irritation, coughing, headache, throat discomfort, breathing difficulty or an allergic reaction occurs.
Keep tightly closed, protected from heat, air and direct sunlight, and out of reach of children and pets. Consult a qualified healthcare professional before use during pregnancy, while breastfeeding, on children, or where a medical condition, medication use, breathing disorder or fragrance sensitivity is present.
This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.
