Cernit Shiny contains a high concentration of coloured mica that contrasts with the colours of the clay, not just gold, silver, or pearl mica colors.. The Shiny range has finer metallic glitter than the Glamour range making it perfect for jewellery. The effect appears because of the low transparency of the modelling clay after curing.
Shiny is easy to condition and work with as it holds its shape well.
Once kneaded, the dough is completely malleable and can be shaped, flattened to wafer thin. It can also be modelled with different clay shaper tools. All colours are intermixable.
The baking time for Cernit Shiny Modelling Clay is approximately 30 minutes at 130 degrees Celcius. After baking, it is so hard that it can be drilled, filed or sand blasted. Cernit Shiny Modelling Clay can be decorated and painted after curing, with watercolour or acrylic paint. It is sold in a variety of colours in 56g blocks.
Warning! Although Cernit polymer clays are non-toxic they are not suitable for children under 8 years old without adult supervision due to the modelling tools and baking procedures required. Not suitable for projects in contact with food..
