Usage & Maintenance
I. Seasoning Instructions
Wash the pan with warm water, then dry it thoroughly over low heat.
Once dry, place pork fat into the pan. Rub the entire surface continuously with the fat over low heat, making sure to cover every area. Remove the pork once it turns brown.
Pour out the oil from the pan, quickly rinse with clean water and wipe fully dry with kitchen paper. Repeat Step 2 two to three times.
Wash the pan and dry it over low heat. Drop in 2-3 drops of vegetable oil, then wipe the oil evenly over the whole pan with kitchen paper. (You may repeat this process several times during the initial use period.)
II. Maintenance Tips
When the pan is not in use, clean and dry it, then store in a well-ventilated, cool and dry place.
Apply a thin layer of vegetable oil after drying. This extends the service life of the cast iron pan and speeds up the seasoning process.
If food residue sticks stubbornly to the pan bottom: soak the pan in water for a long time until burnt or sticky deposits soften for easy removal. Alternatively, add water and boil for several minutes, then let stand. Hot water will soften residues to make cleaning easier.
Avoid frequent use of detergent, as it will damage the cookware.
