Basic Working Principle:
When a vehicle system fault occurs, the Malfunction Indicator (MIL) light or Check Engine Light illuminates, and the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) stores the fault information in memory. The device then reads the fault code from the PCM. Based on the fault code, the nature and location of the fault can be quickly and accurately determined. Targeted inspection of relevant areas, components, and wiring is performed to correct the fault.
