Audi AMI Multimedia Digital Audio Interface Cable
(Audi Music Interface)
The AMI interface represents a typical example of modern in-car multimedia systems in new Audi vehicles. Equipped with four Blackfin processors, it supports a digital RF transceiver for DAB (Digital Audio Broadcasting), a 6-disc MP3-compatible CD changer, and Audi's Music Interface. This interface allows users to connect portable storage devices and media players, while enabling control via the multi-function buttons on the steering wheel. An optional accessory is the surround sound amplifier from Bang & Olufsen (B&O), which is based on SHARC processors and implements advanced filter algorithms to perfectly adapt audio signals to the car's interior acoustic environment.
