HOW TO USE:
- To soften and freshen laundry - add 1/2 a cup to your load and use less washing powder - Enhances detergent performance, softens hard water, helps lift stains and brighten whites.
Simply add 2-3 tablespoons to washing machine drum with regular detergent
- As an all-purpose natural cleaner - mix 2 teaspoons with 2 cups of hot water, shake to blend, pour into spray bottle or combine 1 teaspoon Borax with 2 tablespoons white vinegar and 2 cups warm water - Use on sinks, counters and other surfaces
- For odour control - absorbs and neutralizes unpleasant smells in carpets, bins, shoes and refrigerators - Just sprinkle directly into affected area, leave for 30 minutes, then vacuum or wipe clean
- To clean toilets - add a cup into toilet bowl, leave overnight, grime will be loosened and ready to remove with toilet brush
- To clean bathtubs and sinks - make paste with 1 cup Borax and 1/4 cup lemon juice, rub stain and rinse with warm water
- To tackle mould and mildew - mix one part Borax with four parts warm water and apply to bathroom tiles, shower curtains and damp walls using sponge or spray bottle - No need to rinse, residue helps inhibit future growth or apply thick paste of Borax and water, let dry, sweep and rinse
- To unclog drains - use 1/2 cup Borax + 2 cups boiling water, pour into drain, wait 15 mins, flush with water
- As a water softener - adding one tablespoon Borax per five litres of cleaning water improves efficiency of soaps and detergents and helps prevent mineral build-up in appliances like kettles and washing machines
