As with its predecessors, the boldly named fourth album by the Besnard Lakes was self-recorded at their own Breakglass Studios in Montreal, a facility that has been used over the years by acts such as the Arcade Fire, Wolf Parade, and Sunset Rubdown. Fronted by Jace Lasek, the act delivers another set of psych-tinged rock, occasionally dipping into Fleetwood Mac-influenced soft rock along the way. Guest contributions come from the notorious Canadian alt-rock mainstay Spencer Krug as well as revered viola player Monica Guenter. ~ James Wilkinson
