There came a point in my marriage when I realised that love alone is not enough to sustain a marriage. Not because my marriage was failing, but because I became aware of how easy it is to unintentionally self-sabotage what God is building when we lack wisdom and understanding.
As I reflected on my own journey, I became deeply burdened for marriage as a whole: for those preparing to enter it and for those already in it. I grew passionate about seeing people not only get married, but remain married, grow in marriage, and steward their unions with wisdom, awareness, and intentionality.
Writing a book about marriage was never my plan. It was a redirection by God from what I had as an idea for a book.I was then led to share the lessons, grace, and wisdom that have shaped 15 years of marriage.
Before I Do and Beyond is written for singles, engaged couples, and married couples who desire to build God-centred marriages: before the I do and long after it.
